Lentil Soup

SERVE 2 PEOPLE

Ingredients

  • 1 cup masoor daal
  • 1/2 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 1 potato
  • 1 tomato
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1 chicken cube
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp red chilli powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 6 tbsp cream
 

Directions

  • Soak masoor daal for 30 minutes in 1 cup water.
  • In a pot add oil and sauté onions and chopped garlic until soft.

  • Add chopped potatoes, carrot , tomato, masoor daal and mix well.

  • Add water ,chicken cube ,chilli powder and salt to taste and cover with the lid.

  • Let it cook for about 15-20 minutes until everything is done.

  • Add 3 tbsp cream and blend it , if the consistency is too thick add more water.

  • Drizzle some more cream on top and serve hot.
