Ingredients
- 500g chana daal
- 600ml milk
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 350g Clarified butter
- 1 tsp cardamom powder
- 4 tbsp mix crushed nuts
Directions
- In a pot soak chana daal in water for an hour.
- Now transfer the soaked chana daal to a pot and add milk.
- Keep the flame low and cook until chana daal is fully soft.
- Transfer the mixture to a food processor, grind well and set aside.
- In a pot heat ghee and add cardamom powder and sizzle for a few seconds.
- Now add the lentil milk mixture to it.
- Add sugar and keep on stirring until the halwa is well incorporated and ghee starts separating from edges.
- Add nuts and lay out in a serving dish.
- Cut in diamond shape and allow it to cool down until served.
